While it is getting colder outside from day to day, it is more than ever important to have enough hydration for the skin. Here is a little round up of my skin care products this winter – a mix of long-time favorites and very new discoveries.

1) AVÈNE THERMAL SPRING WATER

I use this almost all year long, it is perfect for sensitive skin and a wonderful first layer. It calms, soothes and softens the skin. I use it as a first base before anything else, and sometimes also during the day when I feel my skin could need a refreshment. Also if your eyes feel a bit irritated or dry, it helps immediately.

2) GLAMGLOW BRIGHTMUD EYE TREATMENT

The Glamglow brightmud eye treatment is my first aid mask against dark circles and the feeling of dry skin around the eyes. It cools and hydrates the area and only needs 2-3 minutes in the morning. I also love to take them with me for short trips, they have a good travel size. When you are a bit of scrimper like me, the portion of “one eye” usually lasts for two… 

3) HYDRA CARE MASK by Douglas

It is the fast cure for dry skin, and I usually put it on in the evening, sometimes overnight. It has a very nice smooth texture and the results are just great and long lasting.

4) Estee Lauder Daywear Advanced Multi-Protection Anti-Oxidant Creme

I am actually using this cream since I am around 25 / 26, when I started to think about how take more care of my skin. I wanted a light day cream with anti-oxidants and sunscreen protection. It helps prevent and diminish first signs of aging and I love the texture and the smell of cucumbers in it.

 5) SAL 29 PERFECT LIPS

I discovered this lipcare once in a drugstore during winter, and since then I did not buy again any other lipcare for cold temperatures. Though it is not meant to be a special „winter treatment“ because its benefit is to make your lips full and smooth and stimulate the collagen production, it is my wonder weapon in the colder season. Plus it really makes big, beautiful lips.
